BAPTISM:
STEP ONE - Starting the Journey

Congratulations on deciding to take this first step in the journey of faith for your child.  You are making an important decision for your child and for you as parent/s.  No doubt you have many questions about what to do, where to start and practical things like the date of the baptism.  We want to support you as best we can, so the first thing you can do is to email or telephone us to let us know who you are.

Once you make contact with us we will send some information to you about baptism.  Our Parish Priest Reverend Eron will make contact with you and organise a time he can sit down with you and answer any of your questions and plan the details of the Baptism service.

The next step is PREPARATION. Please return to the Baptism home page to navigate the Baptism Steps.

Adult Baptism

Baptism for adults (and older children) is distinct from infants and young children in that candidates are asked to answer for themselves at the baptism. They are also invited to prepare for the sacrament through self-examination, prayer, and inquiry with the support of the congregation. As with infants and their godparents, adults are required to choose at least one sponsor who has already been baptized and who will vow to support the baptismal candidate in his or her faith within the wider faith community.  Please contact our parish office and let us know you are interested in Baptism - we look forward to meeting you.
