Baptism is an amazing journey

When a child is baptised with water, they are welcomed into the family of the church.

It also marks the start of a lifetime of discovery about the Christian faith and how life-changing that can be.

It’s a journey of surprises, challenges and adventure.

And through it all, God is always with us.

Below you will find links to the FOUR steps of Baptism at Burleigh Heads Anglican Church.  This information is here to help you discover more about baptism and what is required.

I look forward to meeting you soon.

Blessings, Reverend Eron Perry

Stepping Stones to Baptism

Baptism remains a mark of celebration and initiation to many people whether as an acknowledgement of Christian faith or as a tentative step towards deeper understanding.  Baptism (or Christening as it is sometimes called) is an exciting step on the journey of faith.  Baptism requires a commitment from parents and Godparents.  If you are not ready to make this commitment we also offer a special ceremony of 'thanksgiving for a child' that requires no commitment.  If you are thinking about a 'thanksgiving service' for your child please contact our office so we can assist you.

If you would like to proceed with baptism we would like to welcome you to the first step towards baptism - Starting the Journey (please see the section below).
